Course Information
  • Little Rock Marathon is a Boston qualifying USATF sanctioned event on a certified 26.2-mile single loop course. The certification number is AR05002DLP.
  • Championship Timing ensures everyone receives an accurate time (cash awards are based on gun time - all other awards are based on chip time).
  • Early start is for those athletes needing more than six hours to finish. To start early and receive an official time you must request an early start and be at the start line no later than 5:45 am for a 6 am start. THIS IS NOT AN ALTERNATE START! THOSE WHO GO FASTER THAN A 6 HOUR MARATHON MAY BE SUBJECT TO DISQUALIFICATION.
  • Traffic is controlled for 8 hours (beginning at 6 a.m.). Later finishers will be supported, but may be asked to move to the sidewalk.
Other Race Information
  • All marathoners receive the official race t-shirt, personalized race number (if you register before February 1), official poster, and loads of our bodacious southern hospitality on and off the course. Finishers also receive a finisher's premium, finisher's certificate (available online), results book (available online - Give us a wee bit before you start inquiring. It takes our huge creative staff – huh that would be Gina and Geneva – a while to get creative after the race), access to post race refreshment area, free admission to post race party (RSVP please so we have enough for everyone), and the world's largest finisher's medal when you cross the finish line.
  • After February 1, 2008 shirt sizes are not guaranteed on both participant and finisher's shirts.
  • A Clydesdale (male) or Athena (female) athlete is any participant over 200 lbs (men) or 165 lbs (women). Please indicate on your entry. Awards are given in this division.
  • A Physically Challenged Athlete is any participant considered physically challenged as defined by USTAF.
  • Please refer to the registration page for details and deadlines that may not be listed in this section.
  • Road Runner Coat Check
Arkansas weather in early March can be unpredictable. If you want to start the race in a favorite sweatshirt or wear a lucky hat, but don’t want to care it the rest of the race, then consider the Road Runner Coat Check. At mile marker 1 and mile marker 2, volunteers will retrieve that favorite sweatshirt or lucky hat, then take it back to the Gear Check Area if it is tagged. The service is free. To participate, pick up coat check tags and safety pins at the Expo, put your name and phone number on the tags, and pin the tags to each piece of clothing you want to get back. We will handle the rest. Please note: Although our volunteers try to pick up everything they find at the first two mile markers, we cannot guarantee your items will be picked up. Untagged items will be donated to charity. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity after 30 days.
